Colca. 1st Day
The day starts a t 8:00 in the morning. Departure to the Colca Canyon. We’ll see the snowy mountains such as Chachani. Arrive to Yura, a small valley with hot springs, then we’ll pass by the national Reserve of Peru in which we’ll be able to see wild vicuñas and llamas, birds such as flamingos, wild ducks, the andean eagle “Kara Kara”. From a certaint point along the road we’ll be able to see some volcanoes and snowy mountains all covered in snow at some 4800 metres above sea level (1500 feet) some of these are: The Ampato, Sabancaya, Walca Walca, among others. Arrival to Chivay, the capital of the valley. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the hot springs and the swimming pool in La Calera (admission fee to La Calera not included. USD 2 a person). We’ll enjoy a nice, traditional dinner with folk music and spend the rest of the night in Chivay.

Colca 2nd Day
Breakfast at the hotel. Right after breakfast, we’ll leave for a full day of walking along the left side. We’ll see beautiful traditional cities such as Yanque and Maca, and some colonial Churches, we’ll be able to see the traditional needlework dresses of the locals. Hundreds of pre-inca terraces still in use to feed the locals such as corn, quinua and kiwicha (these last two are Peruvian seeds which contain high nutritional value). We’ll arrive to the Cruz del Condor a viewpoint atop a high mountain from which we’ll be able to see the majestic flight of the Condor, and some miniature buildings of some pre-inca tombs all made in stone. Lunch time. Free afternoon and spend the night in Colca or simmilars (B.L.D.)

Colca 3rd Day
Breakfast at the hotel. Leisure morning. Return to Arequipa in the afternoon to arrive at approx. 18:00 hrsor 6 in the afternoon. Transfer to the hotel. (B.L.)
